Me and my little sister were sent on this trip to visit grandma overseas.
Our parents thought it would be nice for us to travel all alone this time.

After a nasty bang, all hell broke loose,
then we got separated and something hit my head.
We were in the restaurant as I collapsed amongst 200 people at least. I woke up all alone.

I am twelve and my sister is 7 and a half. “Take good care of her” was the last thing dad said to me. “Take good care of her!”

Am I still dizzy or is there something wrong with the floor?
The whole room seems to tilt.
What happened to the horizon?

The only thing I see through the windows is bubbles and foam.
A cracking noise reveals what’s coming and I see the glass shatter under the tons of weight.
Suddenly everything is flooded, I hold my breath while trying to regain my orientation.
A glimpse of a blonde lock at the opposite side of the room awakens my ambition.
I fight my way through broken furniture, my lungs feel like on fire, I need fresh air.
Finally, I pull the last table off her body.
Anabéle! She’s dead. I’m losing all hope.
